Welcome 2018

Its a cold start to the new year but that doesn’t stop us from looking forward to some fun events to do with our horses and friends.

Our new Officers and Board have volunteered to rein us to a good year, we hope our old friends and new ones will join us!

On January 20th, we’ll start with a little Yoga for equestrians to help keep (or start) us in shape for soon-to-be riding weather!  February 17th, will be our first FUNdraiser with Paint Your Pony (or Pet) at Wine and Design in Fredericksburg.  March we will be at the Kelly’s Ford Equestrian Center Tack Swap with a booth – come meet us and join up!  Also for March we are working on a Clicker training clinic – see how you can use clicker training with your horse to learn to relax, train for behaviors or train for tricks and fun.  April and May bring on the Trail rides and Shows!  Several of our members will be attending the Appaloosa and local shows in the area and neighboring states, and the others will be hitting the trails.  There will be a trail ride to a winery planned and an overnight trail ride to the James river area.  If you want to show your Appaloosa we are here to cheer with you.  June we will be looking at another clinic, with July being our Annual summer Picnic/Trail ride/Meeting at Lake Anna state park.  We’ll be off to a great start with something for everyone!  Join us and see what we can all plan for the second half of the year.

Please join us on our Facebook page – Virginia Appaloosa Horse Club to keep track of activities and join in the conversation.

As always, you do not need to have an Appaloosa to join us, WE HAVE SPOTS FOR EVERYONE!
